Lived in Germany until 1997 and served 8 years in the Federal Police. 5 of these in a flying unit (helicopters). Besides I’ve been a writer and a professional snowboarder (extremes) between 1993 and 1997. Why did I stop? God knows, I needed a change.1997 I left to New York. Lived with a Cuban family in the suburbs for a while, worked as a freelancer in the new media area and made my way up to Senior Technical Director at EURO RSCGs MVBMS, one of the largest agencies in the US. I’ve been the responsible technology manager for all EURO RSCG internet activities in the US.I left NYC 9 months after 9/11. There was just no business anymore and it got unbearable for foreigners to work there. Many of my friends left as well and today I have a couch to sleep on in almost every major city on this planet. Maybe even on other planets, who knows…2002 I took a 1 year assignment in Spain, actually the Canaries. I worked as a Technology and Marketing Director for a DEBIS financed startup, an internet travel portal. At that time it was the largest in Spain. After my assignment was finished, I stayed another 6 months in Tenerife. Did some consulting jobs in Germany and NYC and DJed, while I was on the island.Autumn 2003 I exchanged the warm tropical sun against snow rain in Moscow. One of my NYC friends had moved here and lured me to Russia.

Until 2008 I made my money with the production of websites. I catered to agencies and companies like Voelkl Ski (we did all their websites worldwide) or TBWA and Saatchi & Saatchi.

In 2008 I decided to start my own agency with the help of my partners Donald Tursman and Anton Shetilov. Kollektiv is one of my 2 business activities as of today. We are operating in 3 different areas:
– Traditional Advertising (TV, Print, Radio, etc)
– POS Materials. We produce special POSM in China for the Russian market. Customized products and existing products with your brand on them.
– New Media, these days especially focused on Social Media and Social Network promotions. We also help companies to develop their social network marketing strategy. Besides we do websites, banners, viral marketing, newsletters and anything else that lays in the new media area.

Nightlife

4 years ago I’ve been terribly tired of Moscows nightlife and the Moscow “facecontrol” fasicm. So I organized a private summer house party for friends, which was a huge success. Out of fun we decided to call it Labelfucker, since it was addressed to people who usually visit Moscows posh clubs, but we did it in a construction site of a penthouse overlooking Moscow, being renovated.

One party followed another. Our group of friends grew and grew and as of today, we have about 3000 followers. Today we do most of our parties in clubs and bars, but there is the occasional special, like a bunker or pool party.

From March 2010 to 2011, I worked for one of Moscows best clubs, Pacha, as a consultant. It was a side activity, which I really enjoyed since I had the ability to change what I don’t like about Moscows nightlife from the inside. Of course change doesn’t go that fast. Especially in a 1500 people nightclub, which is a fragile business. After a year, I decided to leave Pacha and be more active with my own parties again.

Since 5 years I’m throwing parties in the cities best clubs and bars. Among these are So-Ho Rooms and Imperia Lounge. I also work for Ginza, which owns some of the best restaurants and bars in town, like Manon with its fab summer terrace. Contact me, if you need advice on where to go and you need help with a table booking. Depending on the day and the event I can even get you some discounts on deposits etc.

Currently I’m writing a book, which is based on my (former) Blog at Stern.de. It will be published in September 2012 and mainly be about Moscows decadent Parties and Nightlife.

I travel a lot and have frequent business (stays) in Berlin, Munich and Zurich. Recently also in Bratislava, since I was preparing Russian parties during the Ice Hockey Worldchampionships in May.

Feel free to drop me a line or call me, if you’re in town and you want to go out. I can get you discounts on table deposits in the cities best clubs. If I’m in town and I have some free time, I’m always happy to meet new people, so don’t hesitate to contact me, if you want to go for a drink or join me on a Moscow weekend party night.
